Santa Anita Handicap

This beautiful hallmarked sterling silver Trophy is made annually for one of the USA’s most prestigious horseraces run at the famous Santa Anita Park, near Los Angeles.  The horse’s head on the top of the trophy depicts the legendary horse, Sea Biscuit, who won the Handicap at the 3rd attempt in 1940 watched by 70,000 supporters, setting a track record & running the 2nd fastest mile and a quarter in American Racing history.  His story was made into an award winning film in 2003
