Brief history

The White Rose of Yorkshire is famous the world over as the floral emblem of England’s largest county (state) – in which the city of Sheffield lies. White Rose Silverware, is an original part of Chimo Holdings (Chimo being a Canadian Innuit word of greeting and friendship) which is an amalgamation of Sheffield companies, brought together since the 1980s with the aim of re-establishing the manufacturing of superior quality products using traditional Sheffield skills. Amongst these companies is William Yates, Master Cutlers & Silversmiths since 1750, one of Sheffield’s oldest manufacturers, owned and managed by seven generations of one family.

Tricketts of Sheffield is a well known brand that has been supplying quality Cutlery and tableware, including their famous dishwasher safe cream (& black) handled knives, to the hospitality industry since 1880 over 135 years invaluable experience. Also Fashionware Products now Chimo Corporate one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of corporate gifts, followed by  Westplate Tray Company which possibly produces the largest range of handcrafted gallery trays in the world, plus salvers and silverware products.
